I believe, early childhood learning happens through play therefore; play is the basis for learning at Kids Are Us. I believe that play is essential and should be fun, exciting, spontaneous, hands-on, comforting and challenging. I will provide opportunities for children to discover, explore, create, investigate, solve problems and express ideas with others. I believe children are capable and resourceful. I will encourage and support children to find and explore their own interests. I will encourage children to make their own decisions and choices and to be active problem solvers. I will work to empower children and promote individuality. I have created an environment that helps young children attain physical, cognitive, social, and emotional achievements, preparing them for the next step in life. I believe, each child brings a history of life experience and cultural heritage. Partnerships between families and are essential to the growth and development of each individual child. I will strive to create and promote these strong partnerships with families and create a sense of community that is thoughtful, warm and compassionate. It is my hope that while children are enrolled at Kids Are Us, they are happy, healthy, and safe and involved every day. When they leave Kids Are Us, it is my hope that they have fond, fun memories, they are prepared for a productive adulthood and that they keep in touch with friends that were made and myself. I hope that I have given them the building blocks to become successful, productive adults.
