Communication is key to a successful family child care home. The parent and provider need to communicate and work together. It is vital for the parent and provider to exchange pertinent information about things happening in the child’s life, such as changes in routine, special events, activities, as well as changes such as death, divorce, moving, ect. All this information can be important in understanding the child’s behavior and feelings.
