Our Early Morning Care Program at Rye Country Day School begins at 7:30am and will offer children the opportunity to explore quiet activities such as blocks, puzzles, quiet games, and simple art projects. Parents using our Early Morning Care Program on a regular basis are asked to complete a schedule in advance that allowes us to adequately staff the program. If you have an occasional need for Early Morning Care, we are happy to have your child join us and simply ask that you email or call us the day before your child will be attending.

Rye Country Day School offers a unique and flexible enrichment program. This option allows children to continue their day away from home in a familiar and caring setting. Unhurried lunchtimes, quiet reading times, more enrichment programs, and a variety of activity choices fill these extended hours. Children are welcome to use our Extended Day Program any afternoon for as many or as few hours as needed. Our Extended Day Program ends at 5:00 p.m. each day. Children attending our morning preschool program at Rye Country Day School are welcome to transition into our Extended Day Program at 11:45 a.m. Those children attending our full day preschool program or our afternoon preschool program are welcome to transition into Extended Day at 3:00 p.m. Our Kindergarten children are welcome to transition into Extended Day at 12:00 p.m. after the morning program or at 3:00 p.m. after the full day program. All students at Rye Country Day have the flexibility of using our Extended Day Program between the hours of 12:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. even on those days they are not attending their regular program.

Our Toddler Program is offered on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:50-11:30. Our experienced teachers provide a safe and nurturing environment that supports growth in all areas of development and responds respectfully and enthusiastically to children’s needs and interests. Children do not need to be potty trained to participate in this program.

Rye Country Day School offers morning and full day preschool programs. Our preschool classes are divided into pods of two classes each. While each class has its own self-contained classroom, the two classes within a pod will join together daily for exploring time, special activities, or scheduled events. This gives the children increased opportunities for socialization and exposure to a wider variety of educational opportunities.

At Rye Country Day School, our Pre-K/Kindergarten program meets five days a week. Parents have the option of sending their children to the half-day or full-day program. Morning program meets from 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Full day program meets from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
