We hope you are enjoying your growing family and starting to get a little sleep. We understand how difficult it is for many new parents to leave their precious little one and return to work. We work hard to make the transition a bit easier for both you and your baby. Our infant teachers are mature professionals with a background in child development. They write lesson plans with individualized goals and activities for each child. These activities are worked in throughout the day in between regular care giving such as feeding and diapering. Our youngest infants remain on individual schedules and routine care is provided on their own terms, according to the parent’s wishes. As the children grow, we help them integrate into a classroom routine as they prepare to move into older preschool classrooms. We spend a great deal of time talking with our infants because we know that language is learned by adult modeling. We read books regularly throughout the day to instill an early love of literacy. We give young infants lots of tummy time, which is vital for good physical development. And one of our favorite parts of the day is giving each child lots of love, hugs, and cuddles. We do not believe that babies can be ‘spoiled’ by being held too frequently…we LOVE to hold our babies! Since we know how much you miss your child during the day, we communicate electronically using Kid Reports. As a parent, you set the controls of how frequently you receive communication. You can receive a text every time we change a diaper or feed your baby. Or, you can choose to get a summary of your child’s day via email at the end of the day. We also love to surprise our parents with an occasional photo or video text of their child so you don’t miss out on all the cuteness we are enjoying!

What a busy time for you and your child! There is so much learning, growth, and development during these months. The brain is developing at an intense rate and physical activity stimulates brain growth. Our twos and threes enjoy an active, structured daily schedule. There is time for music and movement, art, outdoor play, reading, circle time, center time, math, science, and much more. Throughout our center, we use Creative Curriculum. This is a developmentally-appropriate curriculum that combines just the right mixture of child-directed and teacher-directed activities. It allows the teacher the flexibility to create unique and personalized lesson plans that meet the needs of the children in the class based on their developmental level and their interests. We focus on Pre-K readiness in these classrooms. The rooms are divided into learning centers, just like Pre-K, but with age-appropriate materials in the centers. The teachers allow the children time to work and explore in each center and there is a great deal of teacher-child interaction to help the children discover their potential in each area. Each classroom has a parent information board where you can find our daily schedule, weekly lesson plan, the weekly menu, and any other information you need about our classroom routine. Did your child just miss the birthday deadline for participation in Georgia Pre-K? No problem! Our private program allows children to get a jump start on Pre-K activities until they reach age eligibility for the lottery-funded program. We offer many of the same activities in Private Pre-K and we also teach pre-reading skills, computer skills, and emergent math. This is the perfect way for that child with a September or October birthday to stay challenged and engaged.

Our state-funded Pre-K program consistently fills up quickly. We have three classrooms (66 spaces) and we begin enrollment in January for the upcoming school year. Children currently enrolled in our three-year-old program receive first priority. We are well-known throughout the area for delivering a quality program within the Georgia Pre-K guidelines. Our ASP program has grown into the largest private program in the area. Our parents love us because we have a homework tutor to help children complete their homework before they go home. Our kids love us because we hire young, energetic ASP teachers who love to play, plan fun activities, and do projects! We do science experiments, we play outdoor games, we have dance contests, and, most importantly, we have FUN after school! An added bonus is that all ASP students automatically have a reserved spot in our famous Summer Camp program.
