Children 0-18 months begin to explore the environment, touch and manipulate objects. They learn by imitating and observing other people and show understanding of words for highly familiar objects.

A flexible infant curriculum is essential for getting your child to learn how to socialize and interact with their teachers and their peers. Infants are encouraged to be curious and explore the many toys within the infant classroom. This will encourage them to build interests and create social play at their own pace. Teachers assist our littlest friends who are not yet on the move as they play with toys, sing songs, feed, and do tummy time to meet their milestone goals. The infants are learning many skills from storytime to tummy time. A day at Meaningful Beginnings is full of stimulation, learning, and fun for our little friends. We help to develop all the senses by singing, finger painting, using building blocks, and playing counting games.

Our daycare curriculum goal is to recognize and build up each child’s developmental level as they use play to investigate and acquire the skills and knowledge, they need to be competent and capable in the world. They will slowly get introduced to letters, numbers, colors, and shapes in their everyday surroundings. These skills will carry on with your child as they progress through to our toddler class. Meaningful Beginnings is a great place for your child to get this foundation because of our thematic/play-based curriculum. Our play-based curriculum is meant to foster your children’s decision making through positive reinforcement, trusting relationships, interaction with their peers, and an interactive learning environment.

Children 18-36 months learn social-emotional skills in close relationships with adults through back-and-forth communication, shared experiences, and nurturing guidance.

Your child is now a preschooler, who is fascinated by the world around them. They can speak in longer sentences and will start asking lots of 'who', 'what', 'where' and 'why' questions as they try to understand more about the world.
