Preschool 1 Our Tuesday/Thursday preschool class children are welcomed into an environment created especially for our youngest children. Our daily schedule is defined but not rigid permitting the greatest amount of flexibility to allow each child the opportunity to experience gentle transitions while discovering their own interests and strengths. All activities are designed to encourage personal exploration while providing targeted development in all foundational curriculum areas. The length of our large group time is age appropriate and geared towards the development of community while providing a fun and interactive gathering time. Preschool 2 The Monday/Wednesday/Friday preschool class children will enjoy an environment designed to encourage their blossoming independence and social skills. The daily schedule is defined yet flexible allowing for the class flow to shift providing greater opportunity for areas of student interest to be explored. All activities are designed to encourage personal creativity while providing ample opportunity for defined skill acquisition. Our large and small group times are formulated to encourage the expansion of the child’s attention span while providing abundant opportunities to practice cooperative group participation. Transitional Kindergarten Our Pre-Kindergarten class children spend their days in an environment designed to promote independence, cooperation, and initiative during this pivotal year. The schedule is programmed to guide the children through multiple transitions throughout their day including two generous free choice time blocks inside and outside the classroom. The large group time is designed to introduce the children to whole group instruction giving them an opportunity to develop their focusing skills. The small group times provide a learning experience where children and teachers interact on a more intimate level. The classroom activities are designed to encourage each child’s intellectual curiosity as they hone their fine motor, gross motor, cognitive, and social skills recommended for entry to kindergarten.
